1799 Foundation of C. B. Göldner Werdau
by Carl Benjamin Göldner (1778–1837)

1842 C. B. Göldner is the first spinning company
in Saxony to use steam engines

1869–1915 – Founding of further factories in Saxony,
North Rhine Westphalia and the CR –
Expansion of the company to complete operation

1934 The C. B. Göldner Group employed 1,250 people

1952–1954 Company reorganisation due
to generational change in the two managing
families, Schmelzer and Klahre

1957 The state forces the company to accept
a state holding

1972 Expropriation of the remaining shares

1993 Company handed back by the Berlin
"Treuhandanstalt" (public trustees)

May 1994 Start of the new Zinser / Schlafhorst
ring-spinning unit

1999 – 2000 anniversary of
C. B. Göldner GmbH & Co. KG company –
Extensive testing of various compression
spinning machines

2000 Start of the new Suessen / Muratec
compact spinning unit

2001 Commissioning of the new "Regnum"
materials management system

2002–2004 Development and implementation
of a new, previously unique, control and
detection system for the early recognition
and reduction of foreign bodies

2006 Acquisition of the company by the swiss group
of companies OTEX
